Charter School

In 1708 the Richard Jones, 3rd Viscount and 1st Earl of Ranelagh endowed a free school known as Charter School in Roscommon and is still standing, just outside Roscommon Town on the Boyle Road, still known |The Ranelagh and bearing the Jones coat-of-arms in the pediment.
